Catch up

SO I know I know it has been like a year or two since I've written anything. That's because Adam got me an Iphone and I have a FB & twitter app so if you really want to keep up that's the way to do it.

Way to many things have been hapening here it would take a novel to introduce you to the last three months of our lives. So I'm just going to share Disney and if you want to know the rest you'll come ask me. :)

I spent my 29th birthday in Disney- oh my! NEVER will I have another birthday as great as that one. I celebrated for 9 days straight with my family (well Adam's) but it was a blast. Birthday cake for breakfast, lunch, & Dinner + my "Ordered" desserts. Too much fun...here are some pics from our 11 person party...and YES we wear matching shirts to keep up with everyone.

I jumped a 100 block hopscotch...and really jumped not skipped...Nano got a great shot, but Adam recorded the entire persuit on film...was so much fun!

July 4th

Summer has been in full force at the Holsted House. July 4th weekend we had friends over for a game night, even the kids had their own game night.

It's great to have friends and our kids can go along with us and play too...they even enjoyed throwing watermelon rines at each other from the MASSIVE Watermelon we picked up on the side of the road (grown by the Puritans in some A city ?)

The next week was just crazy. I hurt myself Tuesday night and have been in pain since. I have pulled a rib head out of place, sounds crazy, I know I've never heard of such a thing. But a few more chiropractic adjustments and I'll be back to normal. I was off work Wednesday b/c I could barely breathe without the pain, went to the Dr's office and to pay sales tax. :) WOOOH!

Friday night 07/10 We rush to Wal Mart at 10pm after we packed the car up and realized we didn't have a life jacket that fit all the boys. (Dylan has grown out of his already) They didn't have anything, dropped off my stuff to DoDo's for her garage sale (Made $60- hello entry fee). I stayed up until 2am, I couldn't sleep, the pain in my shoulder was intense, I woke up at 6:30 and was wide eyed...Off to Lake Hamilton for PCA work day. We get off to a slow start, everyone in the house slept until 9, they ate honeybuns and I turned around and Dylan sat at the bar, tears down his face. He was so sad, why? Because he didn't get a honeybun. I told him to ask me for one, and he finally got the strength dried his eyes and said, "do you have another honeybun for me?", Why yes D, yes I do, Oh tears were gone and we were out the door. Then we went to Academy Sports we got out of the car and here come the tears again, what this time? Dylan forgot to put on shoes, so he walks into the store barefoot, we buy him some $5 watersocks, get the other Life Jacket, picked up Jacob's sliding shorts for this soccer season and went to check out...Well Adam forgot his wallet, I had mine and ran out to the car to get it. I told Adam, "you can't drive an hour and a half with no license!". So we go back to the house, potty again, Leaving for Hamilton Take 2.

Off we went for a fun filled day with Adam's office. Great people, food, and everyone had a blast. I didn't b/c I hurt the majority of the time, looking back on it I should've stayed home in bed until I could move again. Oh well! We hit up Krispy Kreme around 10:30pm boys asleep in the car.

Sunday morning Kobie got up for his 9th birthday with a surprise of Krispy Kreme raspberry donuts (gross- but he loves them) he was very excited. We missed church b/c we finally all slept until 9am (with DoDo calling 3 times, we finally said, we are sleeping will call you when we get up). Adam shoved a pillow under my back like a wedge and I slept like a baby (thanks to AP's suggestion of pillow under the arm (for front rib pain) this worked great! We lazed around caught up on all the cake

CAKE BOSS - YOU MUST watch this show at least once. It's great reality (per Adam Holsted- who hates everything reality based)

We went out to Nano & Papaw Cycle's camp site for Kobie's bday dinner party and had fun with sassy Lauren there to try and boss the boys around (it didn't work too well).

It was a great few weeks...in a few more weeks I'll be up and running, literally, the marathon build-up starts in August. Here I come.

Stress

Stress is the root of ALL Evil. My job has been in the process of fiscal year end, which to most sounds easy, but we are talking BILLIONS of dollars. So It's not so easy. I was chosen to work on this spreadsheet of all incoming invoices so we can keep up with everything...This goes from me to Gerald, To Carol, To Elouise, To Brenda, To Jerry Berry...it is working itself up the ladder. Am I getting anything other than my paycheck, NO! (I am grateful for the paycheck don't get me wrong) but there are people who have been in my posistion for over 4 years they could do what I'm doing, yet I was chosen, I'm not really sure why...is it because of their lazyness or because of my awesome excel skills (ask someone if you don't know me). I don't really know. But I am completly stressed out...gaining a few more grey hairs (it's all good). I'm trying to grasp the procedures and constant changes, I'm making it.

On top of all my work related stress EVERYTHING has hit this month, my first house payment, my first car payment, Jacob's classic soccer dues, Sales tax for the new car, The day care bill, My auto insurance (Every 6 mo.), I've just been hit hard when it comes to the pocketbooks, and YES I am thankful I had the money to pay everything I've had to pay, but NO I'm not happy when I do it. It's emotionally draining and stressful. Then add in some more stress with this team manager job (which Adam is doing). Possibly a new board posistion (it's all BIG GIRL STUFF- and I don't want to grow up sometimes).

Last week Craig preached on money and it was probably the best message I could've heard at the time but I don't know HOW I can apply it other than not being upset when I spend $ because; I am a hoarder, I budget, I'm fiscally smart, I've got the money to pay "issues" when things happen, but I'm not liking the having to pay it. I need an attitude adjustment. AND I want my kids and husband to be along with me on this journey and to not make me feel like the bad guy, everytime they ask for something and I deny it. I also need to scrape in some me time into the schedule, my working out helps (believe me) and I have decided to start training again for the LR 1/2 marathon which starts in August - Race in March. I decided I will treat myself to a day off (NO KIDS) massage, lunch with friends, and relaxation. Will see how that goes, but it's a MONTH away. I always feel guilty for spending money on me, when Adam and the kids spend money on them all the time, it's just hard for me too.

The added stress of a certain baby in the mix brought up tons of emotions I didn't think I still had, and I'm not really sure what to do with these feelings other than compress them in a tiny ball and shove them down deep. I tried to get them out with Adam and it just didn't help considering the fact that I reminded him of him being absent for two of our the three kids births...and the two absences were by my doing, it was just leading to a place of disagreement I didn't want to go to, so I dropped it, Plus I was very mean and it wasn't nice to continue. Until today at lunch with my mommy...Mammy to the rescue, Thank God for her! I just let it out and feel much much better. Time to start fresh since I got the junk out of me.

Exhausted, Happy, Proud, Sad... I need those of you who pray to please pray for peace, wisdom, & discernment...I need to figure things out. Much love and My tears are dry now!

Commanding

So the Suburban has been broke for a WHILE now...and I'm tired of the unreliable transportation. Although it couldn't have happend at a better time (trying to see the positive in all of this). Soccer was done and that ment we could be a one car family for a while. Adam and I have had great conversations on our way to and from work without the kids around. Plus having the Suburban with no car note we were able to pay off A LOT of bills the past year. So Sally (The Suburabn) has had it's season with us and now it's time to let go and head down the path of another car note...Not much fun, but we are blessed by God to have the resources to take care of our family and be able to provide two reliable means of transportation. So here it is, here is our new ride.

60 days over

Well I knew this 60/60 thing would last a full 60 days. (See previous post holstedboyz.blogspot.com/2009/04/6060.html) So about 40 days into this experiment I was hooked. I was a much happier person and enjoyed people. BUT, I was tired of seeing God every hour in my outlook calendar. I was confused because I couldn't find where I was supposed to go, what I was supposed to do, who I was supposed to pick up, etc. It was just terribly hard for me to see all of these things cluttering my schedule. We ALL know I hate clutter and want; clean, easy to read instructions, and this was just craziness.

Putting God in my to do list was like putting my spouse in my to do list (sorry If I offend anyone). But, I was still determined to keep my meeting time with God. I know that sounds selfish to everyone, BUT I did it. I deleted my reminders and was still able to keep my 60/60 commitment. Actually towards the end of this plan I found myself calling on him much more often than every 60 minutes. It was insane.

YOU DO NOT have to PUT God into your schedule books, HE will meet you in the best and worst of times without a "TIME FRAME". You just have to be OPEN to HIM when he is knocking, awaiting your attention. That is what I have learned from this entire experience. YES! I will continue to meet with God every time; I stress, come across a difficult person, when I want to help someone, when my thoughts stray from what is pure, & when I just want to chat with my heavenly Father about what I am feeling or struggling with or even what I'm so thankful for...I will meet with him (and yes it is usually more often than every 60 minutes.

We are sinful people...By the Grace of God we are saved and that is an amazing gift. I am proud to say, I passed this challenge. But I am EXTREMELY Pleased to have grown in my journey with Christ to know that he is there always and wants to do life with me, not just when I call out to him for help. But Always. He is Always there for me no matter what. How cool to have someone love you through thick and thin without me having to produce something. This is true unconditional love I have found.

25 Years!!!

This past weekend our church, Fellowship North, celebrated its 25th anniversary. Of course every year we have a fun celebration with friends and family. We have food and sporting events and swimming. It was a fun time. BUT THIS YEAR WAS DIFFERENT…

Saturday We went to watch Jeff K & Ted play tennis and they won, thanks to the fans cheering section and maybe the opponent’s injury. But it was a good time, we all headed over to our home, ate together 6 adults and 7 children. The girls went swim suit shopping and the boys went to the K’s for a WII night. It is so good to have friends who have the same values as you and who will uphold Gods law when you stray.

Adam and I participated in a drama during the service (which I cried both times) It was very moving. We were asked to do cardboard testimonies. Some people did their coming to Christ testimony, how they’ve withstood destruction in their lives, how they have overcome hardships, it was very moving. Adam and I decided to leave it very vague, hoping it would touch more people. Because not everyone has had a child out of wed lock, not everyone was married as a teenager and is still together 10 years later, not everyone has had hardship thrown in their face in the form of a child who has undergone 3 surgeries, or a spouse with multiple health issues. So we went the VAGUE route…Leaving it simply

BEFORE ---------------------- AFTER

I DOUBT ---------------------- Still God Provides
I WORRY ---------------------- With God I have Peace

PEACE and PROVISIONS are Huge things for us. When we are stressed we can pray, talk it out and calm down the emotions knowing that in the big scheme of things – what we are going through doesn’t really matter…It will build our character, so we should learn from our experiences, but not continue to harp on the downtimes. God has provided for us from the first day we were married; through jobs, multiple kids, depression, chronic pain, surgeries, etc.…He has provided not only monetary means but he has provided us with Love and Respect when I doubted we would have these things.

Some of the best cardboard testimonies for me I wanted to share with you.

BEFORE ---------------------------- AFTER
Divorced Family, Absent father ---------------------- Found a Father in God
Controlling ---------------------- Trusting (a work in progress)
2 Divorces, remarriage, his / her kids ---------------------- 33 years together and 8 + grandkids
03’ Dad Died, Angry Bitter ---------------------- Growing in Christ- Saving Grace
Partying, Drinking, Playing in the clubs ---------------------- Praying, Worshiping, Playing for HIM.
Never Good Enough ---------------------- Love without Reason

These are just a few as there were MANY MANY more…

Adam and I signed up for 3v3 soccer. It was a good experience. Adam told me “Don’t let your true colors shine, or I will quit the game” Basically he didn’t want me to get too competitive. Which I agreed to…So we started the first game and we were doing really well 4-2 at half time we were losing, but it wasn’t about winning or losing really…By the end of the first game we were beat 7-5…Oh well. It was an odd feeling to be running around playing soccer and then inhale burger smell…not too good for the stomach, but after we started the 2nd game (which was with our family friends the Riley kids) youngest one is 17 years old. My stomach had settled and we were able to play 4 v 4 and let Kobie play with us and have all four of their family members out as well; Zach, Hanes, Erin, and Camden. We had a blast we tied 9-9 and went to a shoot out, of course I buckled under pressure, but so did two of the Riley kids, and we won. I’m sure had we been playing competitively the Riley kids would’ve taken us hands down, but we were having fun!!!

I was pleasantly surprised to see some spectators for soccer who didn’t really know us personally, it was great!

Baptisms in the YMCA Pool was great! The testimonies were awesome and it was very moving. Burgers and the BEST mustard potato salad (I do not like the mayo potato salad- YUCK! And that’s usually what they have…and they did but they had the mustard and I was so pumped). My kids screamed “YES!!! Pasta salad” which made everyone laugh. After I ate I was so dang exhausted from the sun and running…I laid down on the lawn and passed out. LITERALLY! I was like an elderly man in a recliner – close my eyes and I’m out. My husband woke me up shortly after SB had taken a picture of me snoozing. It was a good power nap; I wasn’t sure I’d make it to the car I was so sleepy.

All and all it was a fabulous time and we had a lot of fun hanging out with our friends and making new friends.

Crazy Schedules

This week has been hectic from an extra day off that has taken a bit to recover from; to fun filled activities for the boys.

Dylan has been to the governor's mansion.

Kobie & Jacob have gone to Funland.

Kobie is still rockin' out on the guitar (Bass) he has played Johnny Cash to Van Morrison. It makes me smile because he enjoys something so much.

Jacob has started his classic tryouts (soccer) his number is 911...his friends have told him, "worst number ever dude". BY THE WAY JUST IN>>>HE made it!!!

Jacob was awarded lunch bunch for Trustworthiness, not sure how I feel about that. Dylan had Contemplation the prior month and that was dead on. Kobie was compassion a few months ago and that is dead on.

Dinner at Mammy's (with my brothers- whom I still enjoy hanging out with).

Field Day & Follies was on Friday and this is the first one I have missed...I'm saving my vacation time for Disney World...So I have to choose my priorities.

I have had a birthday party at work for May birthday's, turns out it was just one person "the boss lady", so we had a huge potluck.

Dinner with the Louisiana family members Friday night @ Granny C's.

Setting up for Papaw's 80th birthday on Saturday, and then having the party that night.

Sunday we had Church and then the soccer teams end of year swim party in Roland.

Dinner with Community Group Monday Night...Adam and I got a ton of errands done afterwards.

This week has not slowed down and yet we are not traveling??? What is wrong with this picture?

The last day of school in Thursday- I wonder why I thought it was Wednesday???. I am excited for the boys to attend Summer Camp and spend a few weeks with DoDo and ChooChoo.

Wishing you all the best and have a safe and happy summer.

Allen Crazy...

I DO NOT like American Idol, they are so mean and degrading to the contestants so I choose to get as much negative out of my life as possible, that means TV shows as well. I am a little frustrated to the point that I had to write this blog post...today as I walk out my office door there are signs that say vote for Chris Allen...and then give the phone number. No solicitation apparently doesn't apply here. I get home and Kobie tells me for Extra CREDIT he has to vote for Chris Allen and have his parent write a letter. I will NOT let him vote (it's BEDTIME) and I will write in a letter...This is ridiculous...

I went power walking at lunch for a 3 1/2 mile span and felt great with the sun and breeze...went to the gym after work for step class; the weights, basketball, & even cardio rooms were EMPTY!! We even had girls leave the class half way through so they could go watch the results. What is wrong with these people??? I'm just so confused anyone want to explain this?

Suburbia

After waking up at 4am to get to Conway around 6:30am To play soccer in the rain and mud. It was fun, stinky, but fun. Dylan was sliding in his crocs in the mud and lost his balance for a minute; slow motion fall was in progress...but he landed in a back bend, I still don't know how he is so nible. He does sit in the splits while he watches TV, maybe gymnastics is in his future?

We came home after the game #2 around 2pm I went down for a three hour nap, the boys played Sorry (The board game) and Adam watched a movie.

Then we get to tonight...
Well we have officially moved in to our new house. The pictures are hung, the neighbors we have meet and we are comfortable. So Comfortable that we kicked the balls over the back of the fence. Only to meet our own Mr. Wilson (real name: Bob)(he put just his head over the fence, and reminded us of Mr. Wilson off of Home Improvement) Kobie scaled the fence and said, "Hey mister, can you get that ball for us?, Thanks". Then they kicked it catty corner and the boys went through our neighbors house (who just happened to have company over) and into their back yard to jump the fence to go into their back yard neighbors yard; as they put it some old grandpa, who just got out of the hospital with a new shoulder (ow!) and he had on a baby blue robe. I sat and listened to the kids talk to the elderly man and introduce themselves and politely say we are new, thanks for letting us get our ball out of your yard. Adam and I were out on the back deck (he grilling dinner, I was rocking in the rocker) just sat in awe over how well our kids handle themselves with adults. Dylan scaled the fence back to our yard and hung like a monkey (literally swinging from arm to arm) ...it was hilarious. Welcome to the Neighborhood! Hope you enjoy our loud crazy boys.

Mother's Day

A Mothers Day wouldn’t be complete without screaming children and your morning starting off crazy. After all it reminds you as a mom, that you ARE needed. Our family went shopping to fill back up the fridge Saturday (I hadn’t gone in almost 4 weeks- with exception of fruit, milk, and bread). I had bought Jimmy Dean Sausage biscuits for the boys and Sarah Lee McMuffins for myself. I had anticipated being able to have breakfast in bed. After all the boys could read the directions. But every 3 minutes or so I heard a knock at the door, “Mom which one can we have”, “Mom how do you defrost”, “Mom can I drink the Orange Juice”, “Mom can I have two?”, “Mom can I wear this to church?”, “Mom, Mom, Mom!”. I got up, made my breakfast, helped the boys, and crawled back into bed. I had my breakfast in bed. I got up slowly hoping the boys would all be dressed, dogs fed, etc. NOPE! Goodness…Some days I think I need to awake 2 hours before any one stirs to get everyone out of the house ON TIME. Thankfully we live next to the church, so we did arrive on time. We came home after church and ate lunch and switched cars. Went to Lowe’s bought me a tree (Red Maple for the front) and a bunch of rocks for my pathway in the back yard. By 2pm we were at the Traveler’s game in our annual suite. This place is awesome. It felt like we had the entire stadium to ourselves, because people were clearing out due to the rain (no lightning- so they kept playing). My Brothers and I were able to be silly and dance…I’m pretty sure the New’s liked the company. We lost 10 -9 and I think 8 of our runs were “walk ins”. We sat down for our Sunday Family Night and curled up together on the couch. It was a GREAT Mothers Day! Regardless of any hiccups that might have occurred. Hope yours was a good one too.

ill

Well one day I vow to take better care of myself...for now I will do the best I know how.

Everyone comes before me,put your self _ LAST...well I did that, Adam on the other hand, went to the Dr. with a runny nose and got a shot and was better in 12 hours. I did NOT...I did the "QUILS" and still wasn't better.

Sitting at my desk on Friday morning I decided to get up and go into my supervisors office and ask if I could take off. If any one else had taken off for the day or afternoon then I would have to stay and deal with it. BUT as luck was on my side - I just had to stay through lunch relief and then off I went to the Dr's office.

What is it? Swine Flu...Kidding!!! They did have two reported cases of it at my local office. Tami Flu works great, and this flu is a mild version compared to what we saw this past February. People in Mexico aren't dying from the flu they are dying from Pneumonia and they do not have adequate health care.

NO I do not have Swine Flu I do have a sinus infection and an upper respiratory infection...hopefully by Sunday the antibiotics will have kicked this crap out of me and my body will be ready for the opening pitch on Mothers Day.

Draino

Well we are in our new home...I'm mentally and physically drained, but can't seem to get some sleep around here. I think after soccer season is over the grandparents need to take the boys away and let me take some lunesta and drift off into a deep sleep...a sleep that when I wake up I will feel refreshed, energized, and ready to start the day, minus the 5 cups of coffee...one that will make me not want to snap every time someone screams (talks loudly)or tries to jump over the back of the couch (the only downside to not having walls)...I don't know that I'll be back to normal until my house is setup with pictures on the walls, and my menu plan ready to cook...We still don't have our fridge (They broke it, coming tomorrow) I'm tired of camping in a cooler.

Work has been great. My 1st day back after my 3 day weekend of ups and downs was hilarious...I felt great...and then I came home and had to go finish cleaning up the old house back yard. Just exhausted and praying that I get back to normal soon. I'm sure it has something to do with this 60/60 because some days I want to throw in the towel. Frustration is creeping in.

3 more nights...

I have three more nights in my first home...I'm sad, anxious, and excited. It's like a roller coaster of emotions. The kids are even antsy with boxes stacked high in most rooms.

It'll all be worth it...We are buying a house instead of going on a 10th anniversary trip to Washington, D.C. Not a bad deal, a fresh start to a new chapter.

Gotta keep focusing on the goal ahead...Here are some more pics for those members of my fam that haven't seen the inside.

Spontenatity

Friday after work; Adam and I drove to Mammy's to drop off a TV, mirror, and other stuff that we are not taking with us, and then we went to Landers toyota...we did the scratch and win and won a $5 gift card to wal mart, went to wal mart bought my paper products so I could pack the rest of the dishes...We are living out of boxes.

Adam has taught me how to be spontaneous, a trait I could never imagine for my "planned life". I was most attracted to his zest for life, he is very adventurous (I thought he was good looking too). :) We decided on a whim to hit up the traveler's game, came home and changed and off we went- spent under $60 (used the boys Easter $) and had a great time. Which shall I mention we had to stand in a long line, as I usually schedule everything and pre-purchase tickets. I wasn't even anxious about being in the large crowd.

We met one of Adam's clients, very nice man. Wanted to say this about my husband, he is awesome. I love that he has made name for himself without sitting on the coat-tails of family. He is a strong man and always is kind and helpful to others. Seeing his clients reminds me of this time and time again.

Saturday morning we awoke to beautiful birds, kids behaving...and a sight of boxes now working their way into my living room...stacked about 5 feet tall. We went to the donut store this morning...and everyone had ordered and it was my turn. I said, "I'd like 6 glaze". Lonnie looked at me with big eyes and said, "if you only would've seen Adam's face" apparently he had raised his eyebrows so high and had a stunned look on his face. I really wanted 6 donut holes, but saw glazed donuts and said glazed...my bad...

we then headed out to Horticare on Rebsamen in LR. It was their open house (owned by Chris Olson) I was able to get Two - 3 gallon Gardenia's. So Excited...They were $10 each and I also picked up a step-mothers Christmas gift. They rang us up and said $15.87, I looked at Adam, looked at the man, and said, "Sorry sir, but these are $10 each" (he rang me up for $5 each...they are usually around $35ea). So he corrected my price, yet another lesson for my boys on accountability.

We then headed out to J'ville to go get David's floor mats, and then to Target to get bottled water and cereal...then home...Rest for a few minutes, and back out the door to Burns Park for Jacob's soccer game...WIN 2-1...He was Captain as the youngest player on the team. To be a starter, playing up is just awesome. I am very proud of him. He's growing into a young man. It's exciting and frighting at the same time.

Off to David's drop off the floor mat, home to eat a snack...by now my eyes are killing me, pollen has been blowing and sneaking in past my specs...I need to go buy some visine.

Off to DoDo's to drop off a rug and ChooChoo's Pressure Washer...To Granny's drop off balls and Jacob's letter...check on Papaw's back. Off to Mammy's Eat dinner, off to bed...

Early Start tomorrow 7:15 am, soccer fields...the best place to be in the morning.

60/60

Well this week has been extremely challenging to say the least. Craig (our pastor) preached on acknowledging / meeting God every 60 minutes for 60 days. Well I thought about this, and said “Yes I’ll do it”. The first few hours were difficult. “What am I supposed to talk to God about?” I do well talking in the morning on the way to work and in the evenings before bed, and at meal times, but every 60 minutes- I thought this was going to be “okay”. So I devised a plan. Start the day with praises and acknowledgement, and end with petitions. Every Hour I set an alarm through my outlook calendar that syncs with my blackberry so every hour I get a ding--- ding--- ding---. My co-workers think I’m getting a lot of text messages because when at work it is set on vibrate. This thing has gone off at work, in the grocery store, at soccer practice (when I set to Pray for Jacob), while cooking, surfing the web, whatever. I stop for 2 minutes to acknowledge my creator (and no I don’t always pray with my eyes shut)…from 7am – 10pm…I pray the following things…One topic / hour…

Remember God- Slow down and listen

This formula has helped me have a topic to talk about. It’s working for me, although I’m being tempted by SIN, I have not given in and it is a struggle (other than being overwhelmed and letting stress get the bigger handle on me and taking it out on Adam*). Doing this does remind me that I am loved no matter what I do. And I am constantly thinking more positive thoughts about other individuals than usual. I want for you to listen to his radical message online if you haven’t heard it (link below). It might just change the way you think about God, and Doing life together with him every 60 minutes. He made you, is there a reason why you two can’t be close? I don’t talk to my parents every day or even every week…but they are my earthly parents, but God is my eternal parent and I need to acknowledge him as the creator of all. He is very cool, as the boys would put it. Are you ready for a soul revolution?

*Adam knew I was stressed. I don’t know if it was because of my constant nagging and loud voice or by my physical features, my large black bags under my eyes and my new white hairs sticking out. He let me go to bed Thursday night by 8:30 and he did the dishes and laundry, I woke up late Friday…and felt very refreshed…time to start anew.

Here is a picture of my stressful moment...Our first home...

Frazzled

So let me fill you in on the past few days…oh well how about 17 hour period.

At 3:30pm Adam and I found out we had to paint the deck for our Buyers FHA loan to go through. So I didn’t go to the gym; which I really need to do, not because I’m gaining weight / getting flabby, but because I need some stress relief, something normal. My house is not “normal” right now. I get home at 4:50 and start pressure washing the deck so that it’s clean of debris and any loose paint chips are off and we don’t have to scrub or sand it down. Start a load of school and soccer clothes.

Adam picks up Jacob from Soccer practice and we head out to Little Caesars. We ate in the car and rummaged around in my Tupperware and found drinks for everyone on the way to the hardware store. We got to the hardware store, Adam stood in line for paint (apparently there are many midnight painters out there) one of which we knew. I went to buy halogen lights so we could see what we were doing. Will use them again and they were under $18 for both…what a steal! (If you need to borrow some, let us know will be happy to lend them to you) We got the paint and off we went back in the car, everyone another piece of pizza. How bad is this? Eating pizza in the car on the run...something new added to fast food. Had the kids shower brush their teeth while Adam and I took the rest of the items off of the deck (the boys had taken all of the chairs, but couldn’t get the grill, table, and fountain. Swept it, kissed everyone good night and off Adam & I went. Plug in the lights and paint. We used a gallon in an hour and 1/2. Made interesting dog gates so the animals couldn’t get onto the deck. Off to shower and bed.

Woke up this morning started laundry (a kid had an accident). Read Stuart Little (oh yes, I love juvenile books) to double check Kobie’s reading comprehension. He wants straight A’s and he had an 87 is reading this past 9 weeks, so we are double checking the homework so he can get his all A honor roll. Eat breakfast, check the email, and get up the kids and Adam. Trying to get everyone ready to get out of the house, checking backpacks, etc. Amidst this chaos Adam cannot find his wallet. I am on a short fuse already (as you can imagine) and I start going through everything. If he lost his wallet, think of all the crap I have to replace. I have a copy of everything in my wallet, if it gets lost / stolen I can call and cancel everything immediately, but He doesn’t. I am starting to boil. I haven’t had much sleep, I am out of routine, and I am mentally drained. I leave the house in a bad mood, and say some rude hateful things to my husband. Get to work and I haven’t even brushed my teeth or hair (luckily I do have those items at my desk). Exhaustion is setting in quickly…lots on my to do list…boxes stacked 5’ high and my sun room is almost full.

Our community group came over tonight right before we finished painting the deck, the kids crap was all over the table (our only seating place currently) so Kobie cleaned it. Karen offered to sweep the floor...I called Aaron who was on his way and had him pick up dinner for my family...that was very NICE! and for a surprise The Rogers brought us all waffle cone's from TCBY's waffle Cone Wednesday (they are $1 each)...That was a great end to a crazy day.

Easter

Today is the best "Christian Holiday" for me. Christmas, Jesus was just a baby which was a miracle in itself. But Easter gives me hope. I am (and you are) completely forgiven of my (our) sins without having to pay the price. An Eye for an Eye is what I always think about. Thinking about my past and current sin makes me feel dirty, but when I can grasp onto the fact that Jesus died for me (and you) I feel as white as snow.

It's the best feeling for me, better than Christmas time, where the baby Jesus gets lots in the presents and selfishness. This is a new day, spring has come, flowers are in bloom, God's glory is coming out for all of us to see. He loves us that much to send his son to suffer our consequences. That to me is an amazing thing. Hope you and your family find time to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.

Kobie Update

I’m going to speak to you in English  His CHOLESTEATOMA (TUMOR) had grown back. The Dr. removed it and was able to move the tendon and re-set his prosthetic ear bone that had gotten off kilter from the re-growth of the tumor. He has a foam cast in his middle ear, yes foam to hold these tiny floating prosthesis in place.

The list of Kobie’s cannot is LONG…he can’t even blow his nose.

Thanks to Mrs. Kay (Grimes) Sebauck (Don't know how to spell the new name), Kobie had no nausea. He was a very big boy and got an IV before they administered stinky gas. Thee man next to him was crying at his IV (before Kobie’s turn) the nurse came over and was looking at me like (are you sure you want to do this?). Kobie sat there and watched her stick his vein with wide eyes, no tears either. He put that old man to shame.

When he was coming to after the anesthesia he tried to hit only one nurse…which is great odds from the last time. He is a fighter.

Now he sits with his tap light on his head oozing nastiness and I have to choke down the gross feelings that arise from seeing your baby bleed for days.

All in all the day went well, I’m exhausted emotionally but as long as Adam’s by my side and my prayer people around working with me God can pull me through anything.

Sweet stuff: Kobie's class sent him get well cards, he went through them and said, keep, throw away, keep, on and on...His Friend Oscar's mom called and he wanted to come see him and bring him a small gift, I scheduled it for Friday since Kobie ear grosses me out right now, it needs to sit 24 hours or more so that it can stop bleeding. How sweet is that little boy to think of someone else. Now that's what I call a good friend.

Jacob Kyle

It's hard to image 10 years has gone by this quickly.

It's scary to think I was allowed to become a parent 10 years ago. He was my first child. I'm excited to say, so far so good. He can cook, clean, respect others, follow directions...this is what I would call the honeymoon of parenting, not that I'm not getting less involved, but he is a great kid and I enjoy him more and more each day. I can see him growing into a young man. He actually listens (most of the time) I'm sure when the teenage hormones start raging and sassy rebellion kicks in he won't be as sweet. But right now he is sweet, he enjoys serving others by volunteering and always wants to do his best. He is my precious boy...who looks identical to Adam. He'll be on the roads in 6 years...watch out world.

Costochondritis

So what exactly is this odd name? The Mayo Clinic says this:

Costochondritis is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone (sternum). It causes sharp pain in the costosternal joint — where your ribs and breastbone are joined by rubbery cartilage. Pain caused by costochondritis may mimic that of a heart attack or other heart conditions.

Costochondritis causes pain and tenderness in the locations where your ribs attach to your breastbone (costosternal joints). Often the pain is sharp, though it can also feel like a dull, gnawing pain. Pain associated with costochondritis occurs most often on the left side of your breastbone, though it can occur on either side of your chest.

Other costochondritis symptoms may include:

Pain when taking deep breaths - Pain when coughing -Difficulty breathing
Costochondritis is the most common cause of chest pain originating in the chest wall. It occurs most often in women and people over age 40. However, costochondritis can affect anyone, including infants and children.

Costochondritis pain is often mistaken for heart attack pain. The pain of a heart attack is often more widespread, while costochondritis pain is focused on a small area. Heart attack pain usually feels as if it's coming from under your breastbone, while costochondritis pain seems to come from the breastbone itself. Heart attack pain may worsen with physical activity or stress, while the pain of costochondritis remains constant.

Back to my thoughts: An Attack usually last me about 2 weeks to fully recover. I have learned not to push myself. Who'd thought I would ever say/do this?

I've lived with these attacks for quite sometime, after Dylan was born I experienced my first attack of symptoms, which rushed Adam to whisk me away to the Heart Hospital, speeding (I seriously thought I was having a heart attack) they were able to give me a shot of Toradol and sent me on my way.

I have about 2-3 attacks a year, it's nothing Adam and I can't handle and they are usually brought on by stress, over exertion, or weather changes. All three were factors in this last attack. At 3am I'm up and screaming, I can't breathe and I can't move without pain. Adam took me to the Dr. this morning got my shot and I slept, still in minimal (constant) pain (I can function).

The best part is I can breathe again.

Worst part: this all had to happen on Jacob's birthday leaving me useless I wasn't able to make his breakfast or get his b-day card or make his cake. I just hope he understands.

Reason why I'm giving all you these symptoms, b/c one day you might think you are having a heart attack, and of course you should get it checked out, but if it turns out to be nothing more than a flare up of Costochondritis call me and I'll understand you. You can't see the inflammation it's like a mystery until the doctor pushes hard on this one piece of cartilage then mystery solved.

I think I am queen of odd illnesses.

Wonder woman on Auto Pilot

Sometimes I feel like I am wonder woman...nothing can touch me. Today has been one of those crazy whirl wind days. I got up LATE, made breakfast (duh- cereal, bagel, and fruits and coffee for Adam). Got my shower, headed off to work, the the rain pouring down. Praying for it to stop (it worked) we didn't have to go to Bryant for Indoor Practice. I was very busy today at work. Took my lunch hour, went to Lowe's picked up somethings, came home, started a load of laundry, put up some dishes, cleaned the counters, picked up the towels off the floor, pet the cats, fed them (again), got online paid some bills, and then got back to work, YES all that in exactly an hour (including my drive time from downtown to NLR)...we had our monthly birthday party at work - basically you pay $4 / month to be in the Bday club and you get an hour off of work to party and eat, so I decided that would be my lunch today. I got off at 4:30 and went to my mom's office downtown, changed into my workout clothes, Adam brought me Kobie (Jacob was @ soccer practice)(Dylan was with Nano - Jaci had art lessons - then they went out to eat)...So Kobie and I headed off to the gym where I took my hour step class and then the 15 min core crunch (which will crunch you to the core- it hurts)...Came home made dinner, did some more laundry- still working on it now...Sat down ate, looked over the kids homework, had Kobie play his bass for me. Adam is working so I decided I would work too, so we sit across the table and work for about 2 hours. This is crazy...Ending the day with a nice glass of wine and some Mentalist with my hubby. What a wonderfully productive day...I'm going to crash when my head hits the pillow.

Exhaustion & Stress Cause Grey

Well I have about 15 or more grey / silver wiry hair on the top of my head. I'm ready for this house stuff to be over with and rest easily. The ball is in our buyers court and it's not a lot of fun to sit and wait...I am NOT a patient woman.

This is a test, this is only a test...if it were real you would receive tons more grey hair...this is what I'm hearing over and over...

Adam & I were supposed to go with the New's to the Tomlin Concert. Adam's back is thrown out and my stomach has not been well. So we didn't go. We instead went window shopping, bought Kobie's bday gift (which is not until July-giving it to him early), got a bite to eat and then back home. We were able to talk to each other with no SET time limits...no kids, no noise. It was very pleasant to walk hand in hand like we used to. So sweet. This man is keeping me grounded!

On the plus side, we tried out the NLRAC children's program for two days during Spring Break to give it a "test-drive" before we put them in for the summer. It was great! I loved it, they loved it. They were with other good kids. To me I am very satisfied with our choice of childcare for the summer months.

Updates all round.

So it’s been almost a month…We have had one offer on our home, but her financing wasn’t complete. We are excited and hopeful.

Kobie has immersed himself in his base lessons, he is getting very good and I do not mind listening to the noise b/c its more music than noise, *unlike a brass instrument. He had his 6 month check up with Dr. Gardner (our ear doc). The last time we went in October his hearing had decreased since his surgery, so we decided we would wait until the next 6 month hearing test and then go from there. Well we went and it’s getting worse slowly. We had a CT scan today and we got a call back this evening and were told it's another surgery around the corner. So we sit and wait. He's in the 5% who have had a regrowth happen and it has caused the prosthetic ear bone to move and stop vibrating. If you haven't heard the story...it's amazing. He is my miracle.

We have been gone most every weekend for soccer. Jacob is doing much better than last year and I think this experience of him playing against 13 year olds will come in handy later when playing kids his own age.

This past Saturday Kobie & Jacob ran their last leg (mile) of their Little Rockers Marathon. They did great. Kobie even RAN. We were very proud of them. Saturday night we had Adam’s Crawfish boil (every March bday celebrated during this party my mom throws). We sent the boys home with grandparents and relaxed on the couch and watched Get Smart, planning on a quiet evening before the LR Marathon….Well that’s not what happened, 9o’clock we get a call, Jacob had slipped from the pogo stick, wasn’t wearing a helmet, and hit the back of his head on the concrete…we were in the ER until Sunday morning. Needless to say, I slept and didn’t run. There was nothing wrong with him other than his headache that lasted a few days.

The Holsted House is in constant motion. We have not stopped, I’d like to put on the breaks, but I know when we do it’ll be boring again…like during the Holiday’s…Adam went stir crazy and I was just calm enjoying being a home body. Surely this summer I’ll enjoy it too, we’ve cut out all things, with the exception of Kobie’s music lessons. So will see how it all goes.

Best thing ever is Adam got us DMB tickets for September @ Dickey Stephens park on the field. I’m very excited and can’t wait. And the News have us tickets for Chris Tomlin...I wonder if it'll be like listening to Mr. Carr???

Thanks to all...

To Start I want all of you to drive down to the Main Fire Station down in North Little Rock (Argenta) they have a “Fallen Firefighters Memorial” that is just beautiful! I drive by it on the way to work everyday and just marvel at the craftsmanship.

We are having an open house Sunday, praying that we accept the Lords will and that it not be a selfish plan, but his plan with us as the pieces.

Work is great! I love it and I am fulfilled I get to help out those in need (All Departments of DHS including foster kids, elderly, etc.) without the emotional attachment. It’s a win win for me.

My brother Aaron is home and has a job right next door to me in Medicaid billing.

Soccer is back in full swing and we are gone 4-5 days a week, but enjoying it. Jacob was voted by his peers - best “Player in the air” which basically means he can control the ball mid air, head in goals, chest trap to his feet, etc. That was pretty cool. We will be going to Jackson, MS - Germantown, TN - Springfield, MO – Conway and LR Tournaments this Spring Season.

Kobie is doing “Awesomely good” as his teacher Mr. Mike puts it. He can already look at any new sheet music and start playing. That’s so exciting to see him thrive at something. I am tickled pink. His attitude towards life has changed now that he’s enjoying something.

Dylan is as sweet as ever and being very analytical. We finally had a breakthrough a few weeks ago…he turned yellow (a bad note) at school. He had finally talked to other kids. Mrs. Lupton said, “When he talks it’s very thought out and it will blow you away how much he understands- the depths of issues”. He is starting to remind me of our good friend Mr. K, when he talks you better listen up, b/c it’s going to be something worth listening to.

With all that said, I could not do what I do without the enormous help of everyone. JoBeth and Bob taking my kids to bass lessons, soccer practice, dentist appointments, etc. Crystal helping out with the boys getting them out of my hair while Adam and I finish the house. Jeff (Adam’s Brother) doing the great woodwork and handyman stuff in our home. Granny & Papaw for allowing a place for all of my junk (de-cluttered the house) and offering us a place to stay (worst case scenario- which isn’t that bad at all). David & Nancy watching the boys. Mammy Jammy coming over and doing bedtime routines during Adam’s and our date nights / soon to be the great black tie gala (02/24- Pics to come). The support, encouragement, and love from my three best girlfriends (Steph, Shana, Larronda) allowing me to vent my insecurities & life issues without judgment. Last but not least thanks to someone special who lent me a book that was a very quick read (I am not a reader) but loved the subject and it reaffirmed what I am doing and will continue to do in the future as far as schools are concerned. Thanks Mrs. Chino...you don't know how much I needed it - we had two calls the week I was reading the book; one from the principal on both our boys and one from Jacobs teacher.

My mind is put to rest knowing that I have so many great loving people around me. Years ago, we all know I wouldn’t have accepted any ones help, but I have come to the realization that it takes a village to raise a few boys.
Much to do all at once…taking a deep breath. House is finished and sign is in the front yard, very anxious, excited, and a tad sad...but mainly b/c this is my first home.

Houses Houses

To update you all. Adam had this great idea of paying off all of our debt and starting over. That’s what we’ve been doing; we are down to one car payment and snow balling the heck out of all these medical bills. Given I haven’t worked full time in over 5 years there were A LOT, mainly Kobie’s two ear surgeries. Medical bills will be a constant in our household and we have a large amount budgeted in for these ER visits NOW…but back then we did not have the resources to get these paid.

We have been debating the idea for about 3 months to purchase a new home for us a little bit larger with a more open plan (yes I know our house currently is open, but I was searching for some larger closet space). No, I haven’t submitted or done anything that I haven’t wanted to do myself. We have put an offer, contingent on ours selling, on a house off Locust (closer to the water tower / Off Kiere) it’s new and lovely and planned out exactly how we had always wanted NO WALLS! He he. Those who know me all too well know that I bought this great house on Loch Ln. and drug Adam along for the ride (I was very strong willed (to say the least)). He has never liked the house because of that… (I’m assuming here).

This has been our home for 8 years and I love it, most of you thought I would die here, but it’s just a structure. We are selling our house with a new heat and air unit (Trane) a new kitchen, (All Appliances will stay) fridge, gas range, deep freezer, and washer and dryer, it’s beautiful and quaint (hardwood floors) the only TWO drawbacks to our current house is that there is no Garage and only 1 ½ bath.

The original carport was converted into a Kick butt laundry (that holds washer/dryer, deep freezer, large closet, elliptical machine and a huge window seat that holds all the sporting equipment- to give you an idea of the size) and great sun room (we have used for a music room, a play room and even a formal dining room)! The driveway was re-done so it doesn’t look like you are driving into a house, you have a circle drive. The yard has tons of flowers and trees and is on one of the largest lots in Lakewood (over 13,000 square feet) a block down from the Old Mill. We are pricing it low so it will sell quickly and we can start off new again together…on the same page…equally liking a home. Don’t worry about storage Adam built a great storage unit in the back yard (with loft – so the kids couldn’t reach saws and poisons).

There is only 1 ½ bath. We have it down to an art with showers and baths for 5 people and anyone can do the same, the water heater is less than 10 years old and heats up super quickly, the plumbing is all new and tied in with the city (no birch pipe here) we have put in about $30 k worth of repairs and upgrades. So that’s why we are asking 130,000. If we sell it through a realtor or if you buy through your realtor we will raise the price to accommodate their fees. JoBeth (Adam’s mom) will have it on the market by Valentines weekend, so if you are interested or know anyone who is let us know by then and will exclude them from the realtor fees.

I had made a list, Oh a LONG List of requirements that it would take to swoon me to another house. They were very strict about 20 key factors were required. Some of them were; I wanted a huge walk in master closet (so I wouldn’t have to switch in seasons), and a bath with jets, and a great kitchen (only loss here is my wine rack, lazy susan, two bin trash cans, and deep drawers (which I can get organizers from Lowes and install them and they will replace those losses) - I’m spoiled with my current kitchen. I had asked for a gas range / a flat top, 1700 Square feet or more, large open living space, laundry room, 2 car garage (that would fit this big suburban), larger master bedroom, fireplace, windows galore (I currently have an 11 foot window that looks over our deck to the lake behind us – you can see it clearly during the winter, the sunroom and laundry room have 7’ feet windows- I need sunlight), I wanted a flat area in my yard to accompany a dog run, I wanted a deck or patio (we currently have both), a front porch we could sit on, sidewalks down the streets, off the main road (We are hopefully getting on a cul-de-sac), the list went on and on…We searched high and low, I had originally wanted 4 br’s…but when we went looking at a 4br, the younger two said, “this is our room”, and I said “boys you can have your own rooms”, they were very confused as to why they would want that. And the more we thought about it, we just don’t want an enormous house when the kids will start filtering out in about 8 years…we need it large enough now, but still small enough that we can live with just the two of us and not feel like we are a mile apart if we were in two separate rooms…and I wanted a split bedroom plan, one b/c I hate the sound of Jacob grinding his teeth at night and screaming (he has night terrors) and if and when we have to move in an ill parent they’ll be close but still away in their own wing of the house. Needless to say, Adam and I stumbled upon this house.

This new house (on Allwood) is ready to move in and we would only have to purchase washer / dryer and a fridge and the all needed wine rack (ours is currently built into the kitchen cabinet work), and some bar stools for the island.

Best part is Tuesday the senate will vote on a stimulus package to give ANY homebuyer $15,000 tax credit or money to use on down payment or closing costs. This was a huge factor, so you could have a great incentive to live. http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/nation/stories/020509dnnatstimulus.40a4428.html

Our utilities (gas & electric), including water (volume of laundry I do is insane) are under $250/ month (which includes taxes).

Sweet Tea

Adam and I have a lunch date every Wednesday, and this one was no different. We went to Iriana’s had a great lunch. After lunch discussions were finished I concluded that Adam will NOT get a 30th Birthday party as I had wanted, but it’s his choice.

Adam wanted to sit and finish his drink so I got his wallet and went to go pay and asked him, “Do you want a sweet tea to go?” He said, “Sure”. So I go to the register and the girl says, “separate checks”. I replied, “No we go home together, we pay together”. She smirked and said, “is that Adam at your table”. (Okay in my head I’m thinking yeah everyone knows my husband he travels and sees all kinds of people and it’s kinda odd b/c I’m paying with cash, she hasn’t seen a debit card or anything).

I said, “You must know him from when he worked at Stephens”. She said, “Adam’s been at my house with Hallie, (and 4 other names I don’t remember), he and I have partied”.

She looked down at my wedding ring and said, “oh wow he’s married, Congratulations!” (My Brian is spinning – What?) I said, “Yep” and asked for my receipt and sat back down at the table. Adam just looked at me and said, “Where is my sweet tea?” Needless to say I was a little flustered and he didn’t get his to go tea.

After 10 years you think I would’ve run into most of the people he’s known, well apparently not. I am constantly being introduced to his clients and associates. I feel like a “trophy wife” not that I’m all that to show off, but it’s FUN. It’s always an adventure and I’m glad we’re in it together.

Jacob's ill

So this morning I awoke to a child throwing up and lying at the foot of my bed. I checked his temp and it was under 99.9 so he still went to DoDo's. When I picked him up he wasn't feeling any better. We had scheduled him an appointment for tomorrow, but we put him to bed at 5pm...and woke him up at 7pm to see if he wanted to try something to eat. He puked again! and he had 103.8 temp. So we called Mammy, she rushed over to sit with the younger two and Adam & I took Jacob to the ER. Less than an hour later (oh yes, St. Vincents, NLR is my secret and all the staff is so nice)...we find out he has the onset of tonsillitis and already has strep. I wanted high fives, b/c I told Jacob that's what he had and hoped that he wouldn't have to have his tonsils removed. I asked Jacob if he would say, "mom you're awesome".

I've had one of those re-affirming kind of days at work where everything seemed to work flawless in my favor.

He wouldn't say it, he did say this, "mom your kinda awesome, sometimes, like when you are crazy and do Randy Orton moves on me."

YES I roughhouse with my boys. Shocker...

That's all the praise I could get, it's like pulling teeth. I'm not awesome to him.

We have hit the "mom's definitely not cool stage" it kinda sucks for me! All I do is cook, clean, Dr. kids, take them to practices /lessons, do homework, and get to play (when other kids aren't around)...Oh well all is good and he will be 100% in less than 24 hours. At least I know he still loves me doing wrestling moves...I asked him if he liked the John Sena Move and he said, "not really". Where did the time go? He used to crawl in my lap and now he can't fit in my lap at 68 lbs. WOW- Boys grow quick.

Kobie's prayer

We went to eat at David and Nano's house tonight...Kobie said the prayer, "Dear God, thank you for today, and the weather, and letting us be able to come to grandparents house and eat, and Lord please let Nano's food be good, Amen." She was trying new recipes, so Kobie was leary. But we all died laughing. It was a great end to a Monday. Not to mention the humor of Holsted boys (including David) just being themselves at dinner.

Fun

I took off work Friday, ill. Yes, I really went to the Dr. for this recurring fever I've had since Christmas (never over 100) and they assume exhaustion. Huh? So my dryer hasn't been working for a few days so I called the repair man out, he was fast 30 min. it was the vent - so I went off to Home Depot to get a new one to fix it.

...And while I was there, I had the novice idea of figuring out the electrical work that has not been done since we remodeled the kitchen. Okay, so I ask the man there and he explains it all so quickly. I figure it out, and it works!

Two were done and I was excited and decided to tackle a third. I had to pull out the outlets exchange the dirty brown to new white and then pull forward the box so I could screw a plate on over the tile. The Third...there are 6 wires coming out! I have only seen 4...you know black on brass, white on silver. So I'm just so confused I leave the power off and hook up the fridge to the extension cord running to another room. Of course it's on a continuous circuit (reason for the fridge not working). So Adam comes home, tells me we are going out to eat, he doesn't want me cooking with exposed wires. I kinda agree, but my stove and everything was on a different breaker, but anyways he fixes it with a pig tail and some choice words to boot...and I continue on the next day and switch out all the ones in the boys rooms and the living room 49 Cents EACH...no electrician required. I feel like the most awesome Handy Woman. :)

Thought you might all want to see the cool pics of Kobie and his new guitar we searched for and found, then bought this weekend. It was a long time, I was supposed to go dress shopping with Steph and bailed b/c Kobie was taking more time than I had alloted in my schedule, who knew how hard it would be to find a bass guitar his size? BUT I found a dress in between stops and was thrilled it was under $35.00 just need a black shawl to go with it b/c it's strapless. If you have one, let me know.
