Frazzled

So let me fill you in on the past few days…oh well how about 17 hour period.

At 3:30pm Adam and I found out we had to paint the deck for our Buyers FHA loan to go through. So I didn’t go to the gym; which I really need to do, not because I’m gaining weight / getting flabby, but because I need some stress relief, something normal. My house is not “normal” right now. I get home at 4:50 and start pressure washing the deck so that it’s clean of debris and any loose paint chips are off and we don’t have to scrub or sand it down. Start a load of school and soccer clothes.

Adam picks up Jacob from Soccer practice and we head out to Little Caesars. We ate in the car and rummaged around in my Tupperware and found drinks for everyone on the way to the hardware store. We got to the hardware store, Adam stood in line for paint (apparently there are many midnight painters out there) one of which we knew. I went to buy halogen lights so we could see what we were doing. Will use them again and they were under $18 for both…what a steal! (If you need to borrow some, let us know will be happy to lend them to you) We got the paint and off we went back in the car, everyone another piece of pizza. How bad is this? Eating pizza in the car on the run...something new added to fast food. Had the kids shower brush their teeth while Adam and I took the rest of the items off of the deck (the boys had taken all of the chairs, but couldn’t get the grill, table, and fountain. Swept it, kissed everyone good night and off Adam & I went. Plug in the lights and paint. We used a gallon in an hour and 1/2. Made interesting dog gates so the animals couldn’t get onto the deck. Off to shower and bed.

Woke up this morning started laundry (a kid had an accident). Read Stuart Little (oh yes, I love juvenile books) to double check Kobie’s reading comprehension. He wants straight A’s and he had an 87 is reading this past 9 weeks, so we are double checking the homework so he can get his all A honor roll. Eat breakfast, check the email, and get up the kids and Adam. Trying to get everyone ready to get out of the house, checking backpacks, etc. Amidst this chaos Adam cannot find his wallet. I am on a short fuse already (as you can imagine) and I start going through everything. If he lost his wallet, think of all the crap I have to replace. I have a copy of everything in my wallet, if it gets lost / stolen I can call and cancel everything immediately, but He doesn’t. I am starting to boil. I haven’t had much sleep, I am out of routine, and I am mentally drained. I leave the house in a bad mood, and say some rude hateful things to my husband. Get to work and I haven’t even brushed my teeth or hair (luckily I do have those items at my desk). Exhaustion is setting in quickly…lots on my to do list…boxes stacked 5’ high and my sun room is almost full.

Our community group came over tonight right before we finished painting the deck, the kids crap was all over the table (our only seating place currently) so Kobie cleaned it. Karen offered to sweep the floor...I called Aaron who was on his way and had him pick up dinner for my family...that was very NICE! and for a surprise The Rogers brought us all waffle cone's from TCBY's waffle Cone Wednesday (they are $1 each)...That was a great end to a crazy day.
