July 4th

Summer has been in full force at the Holsted House. July 4th weekend we had friends over for a game night, even the kids had their own game night.

It's great to have friends and our kids can go along with us and play too...they even enjoyed throwing watermelon rines at each other from the MASSIVE Watermelon we picked up on the side of the road (grown by the Puritans in some A city ?)

The next week was just crazy. I hurt myself Tuesday night and have been in pain since. I have pulled a rib head out of place, sounds crazy, I know I've never heard of such a thing. But a few more chiropractic adjustments and I'll be back to normal. I was off work Wednesday b/c I could barely breathe without the pain, went to the Dr's office and to pay sales tax. :) WOOOH!

Friday night 07/10 We rush to Wal Mart at 10pm after we packed the car up and realized we didn't have a life jacket that fit all the boys. (Dylan has grown out of his already) They didn't have anything, dropped off my stuff to DoDo's for her garage sale (Made $60- hello entry fee). I stayed up until 2am, I couldn't sleep, the pain in my shoulder was intense, I woke up at 6:30 and was wide eyed...Off to Lake Hamilton for PCA work day. We get off to a slow start, everyone in the house slept until 9, they ate honeybuns and I turned around and Dylan sat at the bar, tears down his face. He was so sad, why? Because he didn't get a honeybun. I told him to ask me for one, and he finally got the strength dried his eyes and said, "do you have another honeybun for me?", Why yes D, yes I do, Oh tears were gone and we were out the door. Then we went to Academy Sports we got out of the car and here come the tears again, what this time? Dylan forgot to put on shoes, so he walks into the store barefoot, we buy him some $5 watersocks, get the other Life Jacket, picked up Jacob's sliding shorts for this soccer season and went to check out...Well Adam forgot his wallet, I had mine and ran out to the car to get it. I told Adam, "you can't drive an hour and a half with no license!". So we go back to the house, potty again, Leaving for Hamilton Take 2.

Off we went for a fun filled day with Adam's office. Great people, food, and everyone had a blast. I didn't b/c I hurt the majority of the time, looking back on it I should've stayed home in bed until I could move again. Oh well! We hit up Krispy Kreme around 10:30pm boys asleep in the car.

Sunday morning Kobie got up for his 9th birthday with a surprise of Krispy Kreme raspberry donuts (gross- but he loves them) he was very excited. We missed church b/c we finally all slept until 9am (with DoDo calling 3 times, we finally said, we are sleeping will call you when we get up). Adam shoved a pillow under my back like a wedge and I slept like a baby (thanks to AP's suggestion of pillow under the arm (for front rib pain) this worked great! We lazed around caught up on all the cake

CAKE BOSS - YOU MUST watch this show at least once. It's great reality (per Adam Holsted- who hates everything reality based)

We went out to Nano & Papaw Cycle's camp site for Kobie's bday dinner party and had fun with sassy Lauren there to try and boss the boys around (it didn't work too well).

It was a great few weeks...in a few more weeks I'll be up and running, literally, the marathon build-up starts in August. Here I come.
